Last night, WWE lowered the price of “CM Punk: Best in the World” to just $2.99 on both DVD and Blu-ray!
Both formats quickly sold out on the retail site within a matter of hours, as you can see here on WWEShop.com.

In an update to our report yesterday about Amazon’s low pricing for the “Attitude Era Vol. 2”, the Blu-ray edition (priced at $8.98) became the #1 best seller in the site’s Sports category.
Amazon have now responded by raising its price to $27.97, a more typical initial pre-order price for WWE Blu-ray discs. However, Amazon honor the prices that products are first pre-ordered at by their customers and therefore unless the listing is taken away before the November release, anybody who has ordered it for $8.98 will get the price they are hoping for.
The DVD version is still available to pre-order for only $8.99 here on Amazon.com.
Another pricing error has been spotted on Best Buy’s site. Right now, the Collector’s Edition box set of the upcoming “Randy Savage Story” DVD is available to pre-order on there for just $12.99. Best Buy supposedly have a pre-order price guarantee in the same vein as Amazon.
That $12.99 price tag is worth your attention since Amazon US is listing the box set for $83.30 (down from $109.99) and Amazon Canada is listing it for $90.50 CAD.
The new Randy Savage DVD/Blu-ray is scheduled to hit the UK & Europe from November 17th, the United States from November 18th, and Australia from December 3rd.
We’ve found that promo code “WWEAFFDVD1” will get you 20% off most in-stock WWE DVD and Blu-ray titles listed here on WWEShop.com. We haven’t heard officially that this code is meant to be active right now so it may not last too long – try it out!
The following 6 recent releases look to be exceptions not working with the code.
– OMG Vol. 2: The Top 50 Incidents in WCW History (DVD/Blu-ray)
– Ladies and Gentlemen, My Name is Paul Heyman (DVD/Blu-ray)
– United We Slam: Best of The Great American Bash (DVD/Blu-ray)
– Battleground 2014 (DVD)
– Money in the Bank 2014 (DVD)
– Payback 2014 (DVD)
Thanks to Daniel for sending word that participating FYE stores in the United States have an offer running for a free WWE duffel bag featuring the new company logo.
The bag is given out with $25+ purchases of WWE merchandise, excluding used items.
Just an update on the pricing of the Macho Man Collector’s Edition set at Best Buy…it can still be had for $12.99 (take advantage of it while you an) BUT something even better was that I just got an e-mail from Best Buy, moving UP the date from 11/4/2014 to now 9/30/2014, so Daniel, if you can find out more from your contacts at WWE Home Video if this release date has been moved up or not on this title, I’d greatly appreciate it…here is what I was sent…
QTY PRODUCT DESCRIPTION STATUS
1 WWE Macho Man The Randy Savage Story Collectors Edition DVD
SKU: 25675036 Pre-order release date is 09/30/2014.
Sorry for the mis-spellings (I meant to say…if you CAN and the release date should have originally been 11/18/2014, not what i wrote before)…my apologies.
NEW UPDATE: Just got another e-mail from Bestbuy.com to mention that the original pre-release date of 11/18/2014 is now back intact as that was an error at their end with the previous date as Daniel alluded to previously, but for that price and for this specific set, I’m still all in for it and I’ll wait it out.
Idk what best buy is doing. I got the first email saying 9/30 then another one for 11/18 and now I got a third one saying 9/30 again.
I don’t think much digging is needed for that one. Probably just another error (how many are they having lately?). September 30th is just too soon.
I just got the same email from Best Buy. I chatted with a live rep and he told me that is an error and that the release date was still the same. When I saw it I knew that it was a mistake, but one can dream lol. Seems like everyone from amazon to Best Buy is having listing/price issues…
The release date has been made back to September 30. Also they changed the name of the listing, it is no longer the collectors edition.

Yay just got the attitude era volume 2 dvd from amazon for $8.99. And got the macho man collectors edition for $12.99 from best buy. Thanks for the update would not have known about this if it wasn’t for u guys!
Seeing how ClearVision have their website back online now, any chance on news updates for UK TNA DVD’s? They get fancy covers and exclusive content which is always interesting to me
Yeah when possible, and we did do that until they disappeared.
Thank you so much for the heads-up on the macho man set as that is a steal! The regular DVD set is more than what Best Buy is charging for the Collector’s Edition, but hoping Best Buy honors these prices, once they officially come out. I took precautions with the Attitude Era 2 for right now and held off until I can be assured it is the English language version, since I don’t speak Spanish. if it will be the English version, then I’m in IF that price stays the same.
Do Spanish versions of WWE DVDs even exist? And sold by Amazon US? If it stays Attitude Era as listed, you’re gonna receive the proper product on release. It’d be worth pre-ordering now at the low price and if anything changes between now and the release just cancel it, since no money is taken until pre-orders ship.
I mentioned in the comments of yesterday’s article that the DVD was briefly replaced by a different one that looked to be Spanish or something foreign, then it went back to Attitude. That explains why it now lists the language as Spanish erroneously. 🙂 The weird change is also probably why the prices are so low and it’s worth a gamble pre-ordering before prices go up. Hope this helps!
Thanks Daniel for the explanation but I wish Amazon would pay better attention to what they write in regards to their descriptions before even placing it out live on their website. I held off on it for now, but no way was i going to pass on the Macho Man’s Collector’s Edition set for that price. If it wasn’t for you and this website, I never would have known it to exist.
The attitude era definatly ended the night of X7 when Vince and Austin joined up that was the start of a new chapter. Attitude era ended and the new wcw was going to be its own brand but it’s sucked so alliance was trown together last minute and then too much talent led to brand split.
Pre ordered both Attutude and Savage yesterday! Thanks again guys!
If the big sale on Punk’s DVD/BR and other items are indeed a direct result of him asking for his royalty checks then this is a perfect example of cutting off your nose to spite your face. If they think they’re hurting Punk by doing this, they’re only hurting themselves just as much, if not more, since they get a bigger cut of the sales. That’s what happens when egos are running the company.
I gotta take the hat off for -both- Punk AND the WWE….
…if this year at the end everything turns out to be a work..included the down-pricing of the Punk products..
the thin near-invisible line between reality…and scripted reality. What is…and When is real!?!
The WWE Matrix has you! 😉
I still can’t believe WWE or WWE Home Video haven’t shown the Attitude Era 2 cover yet.
The waits killing me!
Also – shocked Austin Vs Rock WMX7 isn’t on it 🙁
No 2001 content at all in either Vol. 1 or 2, else X7 probably would be on there! 🙁
Very valid point! I wonder, does that mean Jan 2001 – 1st April 2001 isn’t ‘Attitude Era’ to WWE anymore?
for me, the Attitude extended up to No Way out 2009, which is the finale ppv with a touch of Attitude.. guess, it is individual, but for for me, I never saw the end of the Attiude at WrestleMania X7.
My interest in WWE ended near the end of the Invasion angle, but over the past 2/3 years, catching up on what I missed, I’d tend to agree the Attitude Era went on much longer than Mania X7. I always just thought the ‘official’ end was 1st April 2001!
it is a common official understanding, that the Attiude Era ended with Austin “joining” forces with Mr. McMahon at the end of Wrestlemania X7.. as, if they were the only 2 responsible for that attitude.. while very heavy weight as generator for that era, I would never see it as an ending, when they joined forces..
cos, Attitude Era was and is more than those two bohemians..
Brock Lesnar is hell of an Attitude,,
the HBK vs HHH feud is hell of an Attitude..
Sable, Candice and Torrie is sure as Hell an Attitude..
the HBK vs Jericho feud from 2008 is soooooooo much Attitude..
and so on and so on..
$3 for a superstar’s Blu Ray/DVD? Everyone snaps it up.
$10 for the Network, not so much.
Thanks for the heads up on the Best Buy Deal. I hate that company so much that it is nice that they will get screwed over by someones error.
Pre-ordered the Savage set. Hope it actually ships.
LOL at Punk. This is like when Bischoff tweeted a pic of his royalty check, leading to WWE marking his book down to 99 cents!
Exactly what i was thinking. Punk’s lawyer supposedly sent the WWE legal papers regarding royalties…well, there it is…he will probably get like a $100 check or something from all his merchandise sold.
I wonder if Punk or the lawyers ever thought it would backfire like it is. Pretty funny though their attempt and WWE’s response. Of all the guys who swore never to come back to WWE (Warrior, Hart, others) Punk is the only one I actually believe.
Yeah. Heyman mentioned that when Punk said he was done, it didn’t mean he would take 3 months off or even a year, but at least a few years. When Heyman said that he would never come back to WWE in 2006 it took him 6 years.
I think he will be back eventually, but don’t see it happening this year or even next. I say minimum 3 years.
This issue with Punk is two-fold. 1, the money Punk is owed is from merchandise going back to before he left. The story going around is he hasn’t received any royalty checks since January. If that’s the case then he is owed a hell of a lot of money. 2, Punk is being included in 2K15 and wants to make sure he will be getting the royalties from that as well. The wrestlers look forward to the video game royalties every year because outside of their WrestleMania bonuses it’s one of the biggest checks they get all year.
Thanks for the heads up on the Randy Savage price error. I ordered one and an hoping it ships!
The CM Punk fire sale that went on at the WWE Shop yesterday was due to the papers he served the company via his lawyers last week regarding all his unpaid royalties since he walked out back in January. The WWE wanted to get even and put almost everything CM Punk-related at $2.99. Since I already owned the Blu-ray, I ordered myself the CM Punk cap for $2.99. Coupled with the T-shirt sale of yesterday where a lot of T-shirts were 60% off, I got myself some good deals 🙂
I hope Punk enjoys that big fat royalty check from WWE LOL!
