Release Date Revealed for WWE’s Stone Cold Steve Austin DVD of 2011

August 6, 2011 by Daniel Bee

The upcoming Stone Cold Steve Austin DVD, in production now at WWE, will be released on November 29th 2011 to the USA.

That’s according to Amazon, where a listing for the Stone Cold DVD has now been added. No other information is given and at the moment it is not yet available to pre-order.

As soon as we receive official confirmation of the release date, formats and other details we’ll be sure to let you know here at WWEDVDNews.

Between Steve himself and Jim Ross on their social media platforms, so far we know:

– Austin is hands on with every aspect of the project as a producer and is selecting the content.
– A WWE crew spent at least a week with Austin at his ranch in Texas.
– Three WrestleMania matches will have new voice overs by Stone Cold and JR.
– Austin is using fan feedback through Twitter to help gauge what fans want to see included.
– JR and top name stars were interviewed in depth by WWE TV producers for the project.
– Austin revealed it’s planned to be either a 4 or 5 disc set, with a Blu-ray version too.
– The release is being billed as the definitive Stone Cold DVD and WWE’s last.

hopefully they show lost gems like austin vs sting, savage, owen hart from survivor series, and him beating undertaker for the wwe title.

  2. Brad Attitude says:

stone cold’s best matches had yet to be released, i’m talking the ones involving chris benoit. lost gems/classics.

on a serious not, i’d like to see stone cold matches vs kurt angle at summerslam & unforgiven 01, vs. kurt angle & rob van dam in a 3 way for the wwe championship on raw 2001 … and perhaps a Two Man Power Trip tag team match.

  3. cmvag says:

i think that steve austin’s good matches can be found easily so I EXPECT a PERFECT 2-hours Doc (at least) and some rear matchew which haven’t been on dvds!!

  4. SRB says:

    Please no… not 3 discs…

  5. Dennis says:

@daniel gotta be 4 discs at least.

  6. Daniel Bee says:

It now can be pre-ordered there for $20.99 on DVD and $27.99 on Blu-ray.

    I’m thinking 3 or 4 discs tops.

  7. Mark D says:

The Amazon listing shows the run time as 540 mins – which means 3 discs.

Although lately WWE has only been putting 90 mins of footage on a disc so that means it will be 6 discs! 😀 LOL

  8. Mark Markson says:

If it’s a 4 or 5 disc set, I guess there will be some rare matches on it. Because, if it only has PPV matches I think I’ll pass.

Hope His Match When He Joined The Alliance At Invasion Is On There, Another Rare Gem.

  10. Anonymous says:

yeah if i can think of any dvd that is probably going to out sale wcw nitro, randy orton, and bret hart vs shawn michaels dvd’s this year, it’s this one.

  11. Hopefully Silvervision are able to get it out for us before Christmas.

  12. John23 says:

This is a Must Get, Blu-Ray!!!

  13. Roaster says:

Awesome on my birthday!! Now i dont have to pay for it even though i gladly would have.

  14. SRB says:

No doubt that Austin is going to throw some very serious gems into this DVD. I’d like to see ALL of his title wins, all of his WM matches with The Rock, and plenty of hollywood blondes material. I am glad that he is running the dvd and i wish more of the wrestlers picked their own material.

  15. william says:

On my birthday i know what i’ll be getting

  16. Dennis says:

YES!! coming out day before my Birthday! 😀

@Corey: Even Austin has said the Legacy set was in his words “mediocre.” & He’s a picky dude which is why i’m excited for this release! Probably be in the $35- $40 range.

  17. Alan says:

Suddenly worried about how much this is going to retail for. If the Michaels/Hart Blu Ray is priced at £23 for just two dics on Silver Vision, is the Austin set thus going to be more like £45?! Obviously it’s still a set I want, but possibly not at that price.

Also, it’s not really the last Austin DVD, if they still plan on releasing an Austin vs. Rock set at some point.

  18. Corey says:

this set is going to be set of the year easily. I’m liking how Austin is having a lot of control on the content they are going to put on it and that him and JR are going to do commentary on the 3 Mania matches. The Legacy of Steve Austin set was lackluster but this is sounding like a great conclusion to Austin DVDs
