As we previously reported, The Rock will this time be involved in terms of filming new footage to be included on the set, unlike his last DVD which was solely archive footage.
The DVD and Blu-ray is set for release in the United States on February 21st, 2012 – on the road to The Rock vs. John Cena at WrestleMania 28. You can pre-order yours over here.

Ok, I’ve. Been without internet for a week but I want to go back to. the discussion we had last week. Guys, you think WWW releasing a DVD on Sting now is just so is all about??? It just makes sence. Wwe is huge & i can’t se putting out a dvd like tjis huting them at all. Vince ownes the footage, stop being a greedy ass!!ridiculous but why?? What’s the difference between that & wwe. releasing his material on sets like starrcade, wcw. or nitro? You know they would sell & after all isn’t the money. what wwe. i
This DVD doesen’t really interest me anyway. Anything The Rock has done I want to see I can as I own or could youtube it. Rock’s first DVD is enough for me. Hogan vs Rock 2 was absolutely horrible. Plus they had it on Montrel so they had the fans on their side. Anywhere else and it bombs.
Can’t wait for the follow-up, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Bogus Journey. Hopefully some marketing genius at WWE nixes that title asap, but let’s not hold our breathe.
Horrible tittle and horrible booking for the dvd since they wont include probably the biggest match of his career againts Mr. Fruity pebbles himself and all the macthes that he’s gonna have for the build up to mania. Agree with Evan that the tittle sounds like a Cartoon!
Charles- that “Halftime Heat” match is available on Mick Foley: Hard Knocks & Cheap Pops (unblurred) and the Top 50 Superstars of All Time (blurred). I wouldn’t get my hopes up on seeing it on this Rock set.
That has to be the worst DVD title for WWE in years, it’s the Rock not the Rock Experience, there trying to please the Little Jimmy’s. Oh how I miss the glory days of the Attitude Era.
If you just changed the word “adventure” to something like saga/journey/story, then made it the subtitle to one of his catch phrases, the name improves dramatically. But yeah, it really doesn’t matter (to steal a line from the Rock).
As long as we get the Rumble ’99 match with Foley, and his RAW match with Flair, I’ll be a happy camper. Here’s hoping for some good blu-exclusive matches too!
I just hope its got a GREAT DOCUMENTARY with GREAT MATCHES! With all his times in the:
– Nation Vs D-X n Triple H
– The Deadly Game Survivor Series – being in the Corporation as the 1st Corporate Champion!
– Rock Vs Steve (if they add WM17 Match, hopefully they’ll add the build-up too cos they didn’t add it in the Austin Blu-Ray 🙁 + I’d like to hear the ‘My Way’ tune if possible :)!!
– Rock Vs Triple H / Rock n Sock Connection / Hollywood Hulk Hogan, etc…

I can kinda see what they are going for – something to reflect the life of The Rock through wrestling and movies, and appealing to a wider audience than usual because of Dwayne’s popularity. I’m thinking they will rework the name a little between now and Feb.

its not just here, unfortunately. Its everywhere. Everybody is a “fantasy booker” and think they could create better storylines than WWE/TNA/ROH, etc. Granted, some ideas are good and make sense, but others are laughable at best. You win some you lose some.

The Epic Adventure Of Dwayne Johnson? For real? It’s like WWE has 3rd graders coming up with their DVD titles. Lately it’s been 1 hit and 9 misses in a row with these DVDs (titles, content and art) The ONLY way I could see this as the title is if there is a documentary. Then I somewhat get it. But if it’s a collection of matches I already have then that is the dumbest title ever. I can’t wait for Triple H’s set next year. “The Caped Crusader HHH – Man of Steel” Features HHH against Buzz Lightyear.

Meh. Not sure about the name, but ultimately it doesn’t matter. This is a Day 1 purchase for me. And “THANK YOU!” WWE for putting this on blu-ray (although almost all the matches won’t be in HD). I picked up the Survivor Series DVD this week and watching the PPV in standard def makes me sad. I think my TV is mad at me now.
what exactly does a mainstream audience have to do with the outcome and making of this DVD set? Why you think this will be SO different from any other set, I don’t know?
