We have a question for you. On the insert in the Blu-ray edition of Best PPV Matches 2011 there is a “Film Cut” of Orton vs Punk at WrestleMania 27 listed. Since we’ve only checked out the DVD so far, let us know in the comments what that extra contains, if you’ve got a copy.

..Pre-order it in the UK for March at this link!

The Exclusive Blu Ray Content Looks Great
Does anyone know if the TLC Blu Ray will be region free? I’m in the states and would love to get the event on Blu Ray as opposed to standard DVD.
Loved the Orton vs. Punk Film Cut from WrestleMania. Brilliant idea, please do more in the future.
All of WWE’s past 3 PPV DVDs, I think, have the same color scheme as the other. I bought Vengeance and Survivor Series and both the main colors were red and black, this one’s no different, haha.
I have bought the beginning seasons of Monday Night RAW 1993 – 1994 4 dvd set & I hope that the 1995 – 1996 seasons will be released very soon & upwards until 2003
the match between punk and orton, film cut. i watch this on the dvd. this seem to be a totally different angle than what was on the wrestlemania dvd and on the live PPV. Very nice and different way of seeing the action.
I assume the film cut was filmed for the orton dvd/blu set since they show some clips in “film” format during the feature part of the orton set. Just got the best of ppv on blu in the mail today. Oddly enough, my BB did not get in the blu version as of yet. Another thing I noticed recently (not sure if anyone commented on this yet so forgive me if they have) is that the wwe bluray sets now run in 1080p as opposed to 1080i as they have been since their switch to HD (and as the tv shows and ppv currently air on hdtv in). I believe this started (in the US anyway) with the Ladder Match 2 set.
@ Macho King
Never mind about that…i thought you meant Best of RAW and SD sets.
As Shaun said, no plans for Seasons 3 and 4
@ Macho King 1985
Silver Vision posted on their Facebook page that they are getting ready to post them…so likely tomorrow it will be up.
@macho king it seems they are no plans to release that set in the near future. this is due to poor sales of the first set
hey wwedvdnews team, are there any plans to release “Best Of Raw Seasons 3 & 4” ?
Got the Blu-ray version and the film cut is pretty cool with the full match commentary. We always been use to the Wrestlemania Network specials with background music.
I wouldn’t mind if WWE continues this trend for couple Wrestlemania matches on the “Best PPV matches” series. Just gives another reason to pick it up.
The film cut has the audio of the match but it is shown in movie quality. When watching it, they shot from many angles and this version of the match looks and feels like a match that was made for a movie. It’s pretty cool and worth checking for something a bit different.
“The Network Premieres of WrestleMania 24 and 25 *HAD* a lot of “NFL Films” style footage of the matches. “
I don’t have the blu-ray…yet…but I assume the film cut looks like the footage the WWE has released during their “WrestleMania: The Network Premiere” shows on NBC that they have done for the last few years. The Network Premieres of WrestleMania 24 and 25 and a lot of “NFL Films” style footage of the matches.
Randy Orton vs CM Punk “Film Cut”, That sounds Amazing. It’s stuff like this I want in future WWE DVD/BluRay releases!
So, I’m told on Twitter by @imdjluis, “the film cut is the match shot from multiple film camera angles, behind the HD camera men, but with the original match audio over it”.
Aside from the audio that’s what I was hoping it was. Excited to see if WWE release other footage like this in the future, of classic WrestleMania matches. We see snippets of that footage sometimes but I’d love to see the likes of Rock/Hogan WMX8 in full.
It sucks that they don’t sell blu-rays in NZ as I would of got a blu-ray player. The blu-ray looks very good.Return of masked Kane and the fatal four way match was great, plus Orton/Ryder vs. Ziggler/Barrett which is another great match
