No Shawn Michaels vs Triple H?! Wow… Terrible miss.
Totally agree… they missed a lot of good ones honestly!
Only 15 matches and 1 moment? Surely there are still things to come? Or is the main feature 4 hours long?
For me this one will depend on the length of the main feature. I enjoy these kind of countdowns like OMG and Top 50 Finishers. The bonus matches so far don’t interest me that much. But if we get a 2 hour panel show like we got on similar countdowns then I will probably pick up this set at some point.
Eddie vs Rey? Really Really, What did they do that deserved to be regarded as the greatest rivalry in wrestling history, They had the dumbest storyline back in 2005 over who is who son, The Matches were great but they did not deserve to be on this set,
Why is NWO vs Sting NOT on this set, The rivalry i have heard is one of the best in WCW, I would love to have heard about this on this set and I would love to have the Starrcade 97 Match between Hogan and Sting on this with the Proper Entrances including Hogan despite this being on best of starrcade but they edited out hogan entrance,
Rock vs Mankind would have been good choice, their rivalry was fantastic, Brutal matches, best of friends, worst enemies, their rivalry had everything,
Stone Cold vs Bret Hart, Even this rivalry would have been a better choice,
Warrior vs Savage would have been good choice, their rivalry in the early 90’s was intense
Jake Roberts vs Randy Savage, this rivalry was intense also late in the 80’s
Jericho vs Shawn Michaels, their rivalry in 2008 was just about intense as anything compared to rey vs eddie, their matches at Judgement day 08, Great american bash 2008, Unforgiven 2008, No Mercy 2008 were some of the best matches that year, Their judgement day 2008 match would have a great choice to include on this set, i really want that match in HD on Blu-ray..
Very disappointed with this set, tbh just live everyone else is, i thought this would be the underated gem of the year and now its the most overrated pile of monkey crap that wwe have ever released or are going to release.
Some of the Matches being released Unblurred like the Austin vs McMahons KOTR 99, HHH v Rock Backlash 2000, Austin vs Rock Rebellion 2001 and The Summerslam 88 Tag Match being released on Blu-ray might be worth purchase a year down the line when its the sale,
Im afraid this is already a pass before its even released, Not good on WWE Part,
Always has to be one disappointing set in the year and this is it..
Eddie vs. Rey!? Any excuse they have to put Eddie on a DVD they just jump at. This compilation reminds me of today’s WWE. It’s lackluster and out of touch with what the fan base wants. If we could only have Jericho vs. Benoit on here.
The Jericho DVD didnt sell a lot. look up the numbers. and benoit killed his kid. if you think thats what fans really want, you sir are out of touch, and also incorrect based on numbers.
FYI – Bock’s name is spelled wrong in the article. Bockwinkel not Bockwinkle. Common mistake.
Corrected 🙂
How did they not put the Rock n Roll Express vs The Midnight Express on this set? It’s the greatest feud of the 80’s. They still wrestle each other on the indy scene for cryin out loud.
Maybe they should of put out a 3 disc set per decade ( 70’s, 80’s, etc). Way too many feuds not listed.
This is definitely a pass for me.
Eddie vs Rey instead of Bret – Austin or a feud involving DX or nWo? KIDDING?!
Well I was gonna buy this but now I have offically decided to pass…
Since when Eddie and Rey was a great rivalry? I thought their rivalry was average
Holy shit. No Michaels/Jericho? F***. Ball dropped. What were they thinking
Yup. And no Michael / HHH…
This had the potential to be among the best releases in company history…so many classic rivalries and feuds to draw from, but, always had a feeling they would go in the direction this set ended up in. It’s not so much that I mind some repeats on occasion, some rivalries warrant them because that specific match was iconic to the fued. Having a match listing that is entirely made up of repeats is sort of a let down and a waste of time, why do we even need this, if they could have very easily picked some unreleased/rare material in most cases…the top 25 seems like your typical WWE countdown, solid, but controversial. No buy for me…will be waiting for IYH!
One of my favorite rivalries is between Matt Hardy and Edge over Lita. This one had true emotion because it was a true scenario. Hardy’s leg drop off the top of the cage was in my meaningless opinion his best performance ever.
God awful. They truly are clueless. They should call this the top 25 repeats in WWE DVD history.
Now that the whole thing’s out, I can definitely say that I’ll be passing on this one.
I had very high hopes for this one, but it appears they had an ax grind. I mean, no WCW? How is that even possible? Sting vs. Flair is obvious. Then, there’s the two highest grossing one-on-one rivalries in WCW history: Flair vs. Funk and Flair vs. Savage that had history dating back to the WWF. Sorry, but I say SKIP!
Good point, I may pass on this also. There is alot of repeats on this…
I’ll prob get it for the countdown and the 2 world class matches
Are the matches that have been shown all of the matches on the collection?
Yes, and the Blu-ray extras.
Wow….no WCW and two ECW! What a load of you know what.
oh my brotha! testify!!
So some of the rivalries will not feature matches? Hogan v Savage did not list a match. I sure hope there is more to this than listed.
That’s right. As I said on another article not all 25 rivalries have a match to them.
Oh wow. Ok. Thanks for letting me know. Only can hope for the Summerslam 88 match to be on bluray then as an upgrade for me.
