Alternate Cover Artwork Revealed for WWE 'Undertaker: The Last Ride' DVD!

*GONG!* It’s time for several new updates on WWE’s anticipated “Undertaker: The Last Ride” DVD that’s scheduled for release next month to North America and Europe.

The front cover artwork was revealed earlier this week. In case you missed it —

Today comes the reveal of the back cover artwork. WrestlingDVDNetwork.com has an exclusive shot of the U.S. version below, which will be presented in black and white; this follows the colour scheme of the spine artwork you may have spotted in the original cover reveal.

This box art confirms the complete runtime of the 2-disc DVD set to be approx. 5.5 hours (all of the episodes of the series, the bonus episode and these extras) and it states:

For the first time ever, Mark Calaway, the man behind The Deadman, comes out of the darkness and sits down with WWE Network for Undertaker: The Last Ride.

In this critically acclaimed 5-part docuseries, WWE follows The Phenom on his emotional journey towards having one last great match and putting the final nail in the coffin of his legendary career.

Now also unveiled from the dark side is the “Undertaker: The Last Ride” Alternate Artwork!

As you’ve been following, this artwork is confirmed for the 30th Anniversary Collector’s Edition (the UK’s Blu-ray with a signed ‘Taker photo among other goodies!), and we’re told this artwork will be found in the U.S. too, as an exclusive slipcover on initial copies available through Walmart.

Last but not least — fans in the U.S., this product listing on Walmart.com could be THE product listing you’ve been waiting for, to get your hands on the “Undertaker: The Last Ride” DVD!

As a reminder, in the United States it will be Walmart stores that have the DVD available first because Walmart has secured a 4-week store exclusive window on the title, before it releases everywhere else in December.

This new product listing, while likely the correct one, appears to have a few errors right now. For one, it gives the impression “The Last Ride” is already shipping out and available right now! (…though maybe there’s a slight chance it might be). We’ve also been keeping an eye on the price; it started off priced around $199 and has come down to around the $50 mark in the past few hours.

We’re sure the availability issue and high pricing are just temporary glitches, but keep an eye on the Walmart page for updates if you intend to purchase the DVD online.

Just a follow-up to my previous post in that Wal-mart has it advertised on their website BUT the price is still relatively high and they don’t have it being scheduled to ship out now until 12/17/2020, so not sure if the item is exclusive to them anymore to get it in a few weeks time…https://www.walmart.com/ip/WWE-Undertaker-The-Last-Ride-DVD/143307535

Just left walmart and got the new clash of champions dvd.Its not suppose to be out till next week

  3. Richard W says:

That has to be a mistake on the pricing and availability of this item, as Walmart is known for doing such stuff online, but hoping that gets adjusted to reflect the proper pricing and true availability of this item in their stores in a month’s time.

  4. RabidHeat says:

I just hate the artwork. It looks no better than the ‘Deadliest Matches’ cover and is not representative of what the doc series was trying to achieve at all i.e. put a coda on his career.

The cover really should have been some kind of collage representing all of the eras of his career IMO. This is just laziness – ” Let’s just slap a photo of him as the 2010s era Deadman and stick some lightning in the background”.

He’s also off-centre on the purple cover and too far to the right, which is annoying.

  5. Eric Chism says:

Why isn’t there a Blu Ray in the States? DVD’S are a waste. I’m not wasting my money on them. I have a 4K HDR TV. I’m not watching something in 480p. I can watch in 1080p on the network anyway. I want that exclusive material or else I am not even putting my money down for these anymore.

    • Anonymous says:

Because people in the States didn’t buy Blu-Rays when WWE produced them back at the start of the decade, so they gave up on the format.

  6. Jim Smith says:

It says it will arrive by Thursday, October 22nd, 2020.

  7. Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

Whut: I agree.. they really nailed the colours with the black, white and purple, fitting to the Deadman and the incarnations of the charachter imo..

Only thing I don’t like is the ornament that is around the signature Tombstone symbol on the 30th anniv. cover..for me it looks like something from Harry Potter, just like the with the WWE logo..never shold have changed it back in 2014.

I made up my mind and gonna keep my pre-order for this, cos overall it looks to be awesome..and..besides..its the Undertaker after all.. 😉

  8. whut says:

not going to lie, it looks great.

and while I wasn’t before, I’m now considering getting the limited edition instead of the regular bluray.
