Here we go… The old and familiar Artwork doesn’t matter VS. Cover is just as important as content argument again. I’m tired of seeing that match on this wrestling site. Whether covers matter or not, this argument has been played out more times on this site than Cena has undeservingly won title belts.
why should WWE fans buy the PPV events like Fatal 4 Way 2010, TLC 2010, Night Of Champions, Over The Limit & Vengeance 2011 if they are not going to put on a good sleeve for any of the three events that I have mentioned above especially Vengeance 2011

how is it spoilers to 99% of the people that buy wwe ppv dvds? even if you stay away from results and all that you still hear about it on raw the next night, then smackdown and also on wwe.com. if you can manage to stay away from all that then maybe it’s worth complaining about spoilers.
Its just bad story telling the have the ‘shocking moment’ on the cover, regardless of whether anyone has seen it or not. Its like printing the last page of a book on the front cover. They’ve just gone with that cover hoping that people will think, “wow the ring broke, I better buy that”. Seems pretty bad to me that they can’t just pair 2 wrestlers together for the cover and people buy it for that showdown. I would like to think that the Wrestlemania 28 cover would heavily feature John Cena and The Rock to enhance the feelof the occasion on DVD, and not the end of the match, which would just undo some of the hard work of building the anticipation in the first place.
@Brad Attitude, what difference does it make what’s on the cover of the DVD? What sells a DVD is the content, not the cover. And in this case I think they made the right choice for a cover. It’s more appealing than a generic ppv poster that looks like every other ppv DVD release. As for giving away “spoilers”, read what I wrote earlier about that. Spoilers mean nothing when it comes to DVD sales.
@LP1: i’d rather have the mark henry angry look than the latter. it kills me that wwe have to get their dvd buyrates going nowadays by giving us the ending result of their monthly ppvs by showing the end of a main event or the winner itself for the front cover. why not just show the damn poster for the ppv!!!
Oh God, enough with the whining about the “spoiler covers”. Most people that will buy this DVD already know what happened at the ppv. And for anyone who doesn’t know what happened at this ppv, if they’re just browsing through the DVD aisles at Best Buy, Wal-Mart, etc. what do you think will catch their attention more, a generic picture of Mark Henry with his mouth open or this picture of a destroyed ring with bodies lying everywhere?
I actually like this cover. Most of that is because it’s not a spoiler to me though. ๐ Like the angle they caught on the ring. Dislike HHH on the spine however.
