At Facebook.com/WWEDVDNews Ricky Schmidt sent word that K-Mart stores will be offering an exclusive double pack that includes Ric Flair & The Four Horsemen 2-Disc DVD.
Update: The store exclusive Nitro DVD at FYE stores will supposedly have extra content on the feature which is only available on this edition. Thanks to “Will NJ” in the comments of this article for passing that info along. You can check the product page for that over here.

“I just got the set earlier tonight from FYE. Seems the only exclusive extra I can find is a clip of DDP talking about being afraid of heights (making reference to when Sting took him up in the rafters). The extras menu is on disc 1 and that’s there, along with the Mysterio/Mr. JL match and the DDP career highlights. Unless I’m missing something those are the only extras I can find. The set looks exactly the same other than a sticker on the packaging denoting that it’s an FYE/Suncoast exclusive and features an exclusive match and moments.”
Doesn’t look like we’re missing much.
Typically a dvd can hold about three hours of content. This set claims to have over 8 hours in total. So I doubt they could have added a ton more content than the regular release.
What is the run time of each of the discs. This will tell us much extra content will actually fit on the set. If I had to guess I’d say there would be about 2-3 hours unallocated.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they just attached the 2nd or 3rd disc of the Rise and Fall of WCW DVD that included the matches inside the set.
But if it’s definitely new content then i’m all in.
Didn’t FYE want to stop doing WWE exclusives, and cut back on the amount of WWE titles they sold because they didn’t wanna be stereotyped as a wrestling DVD store?

Also…not sure if everyone’s aware of this, but the FYE “Very Best of Nitro” set is being offered at the sale price of $19.99 upon release. That’s definately the in-store sticker sale price, but I believe the FYE.com price is a few dollars more. …and the non-exclusive version is even more than that! I’m sure that’s because they want to sell as much of the exclusive version as they can, and that way WWE will be more likely to continue working w/them on exclusives in the future.
It looks like it’s still a 3 disc set, as the sticker didn’t specify a bonus disc-just extra content exclusive to FYE/Suncoast, but WWE has had a 4th disc in sets labled as 3-discs before. We’ll have to wait until Tuesday and find out when we open them up. From what I gathered, it seems that they will be the same discs as sets offered elsewhere, except with extra “content/matches”, meaning a longer run time. Hopefully that translates to at LEAST an extra 40 minutes overall. I won’t be happy if I get 5 extra minutes of Hogan promos (BROTHER!) or a lousy Mongo McMichael match. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
Product page says 3-Disc, so if that’s accurate it won’t have a bonus disc just additional content on it. We shall see.

Yes Anon, one is the exclusive and one is the normal version and I agree it’s strange the first would be cheaper. Great info Will NJ – sounds like a worthwhile store exclusive at last if it has extra content.
Went on the fye website and they have two different Nitro sets listed. Oddly enough the one with the exclusive content is cheaper, but is still listed as a 3 disc.
Went to FYE today to reserve my “Very Best of NITRO” copy and inquired about the store exclusive. They weren’t sure, so they got it out of the back and let me look it over. There’s a sticker on the front that says “FYE/Suncoast Exclusive Matches & Content”. I’m paraphrasing there, but that’s the just of it…so this is definately the version to get as it appears to have extra content not available on the version other retailers are offering. This version also has a different barcode (SKU). Hopefully that finally answers it for everyone, as I know I was dying to know myself. Luckily the folks at the FYE here are good folks.
