It’s been confirmed that the Shawn Michaels “Farewell speech” on WWE’s upcoming DX: One Last Stand DVD/Blu-ray runs 21 minutes, which suggests it will finally be featured in it’s entirety.
In March, Silver Vision will be re-releasing the previously “deleted” WWF DVD titles Rebellion 2001 and Insurrextion 2002, in the form of a new Tagged Classics set for the European market.
New Tagged Classics sets will be announced month by month until the summer, after which there have been a further 11 approved for release. No word on what they are yet.
If considering the UK WWF DVD catalog alone (excluding VHS), these titles are yet to be re-released by Silver Vision:
– Undertaker: This is My Yard
– Stone Cold: What?
– Triple H: The Game
– The Rock: People’s Champ
– The Rock: Just Bring It
– Mick Foley: Hard Knocks & Cheap Pops
– Hollywood Hulk Hogan: Hulk Still Rules
– Hardy Boyz: Leap of Faith
– Lita: It Just Feels Right
– Action
– Best of the WWF 2001
– Funniest Moments
– Hardcore
– Before they were Superstars
– Divas in Hedonism
– Divas: Tropical Pleasure
Which classic DVDs do you think should make a comeback? See pics.
If anyone is confused why silvervision can release these DVDs in Europe and wwe cannot its because the WWF had some sort of contract with the other WWF (wildlife people) that they could use the initials, but there were some conditions to it and wwe breached whatever that was I think. So therefore the court will have granted the wildlife people the contractual remedy of an injunction that the party in breach (wwe) cant get the benefit of the contract they breached. Hence, the name change to WWE, which sounds crap.
Silvervision was an innocent third party in the breached contract so they can continue to release the WWF titles under their contract with WWE. So long as they repackage them to say WWE on the cover apparently, but the content itself is obviously the same so you get no editing as these are just the old tapes or DVDs on new discs. So you wont see anything they never release in the first place, like WCW or ECW ppvs. And I think they are only the distibutor for Europe so thats why they don’t ship to the U.S.
I hope thats actually useful to someone and not just really annoying mumbo jumbo. Peace.
Some of the things people have written here I’m sorry to say that (as far as I know and correct me if I’m wrong) but The Best of WWF series, wrestling Classic and The Big Event, none of them were ever released by silvervision in the first place, so they won’t be re-issuing them. They didnt actually get the licence to distribute WWF releases until about 1991, but they released titles from before then obviously but I dont think they came out in England (or Europe) until 91 ish. Sozzers.
One that would be pretty cool is ‘Supertape 92’ as this features the entire Tuesday in Texas ppv from 91, as well as other video matches too. Hopefully that one will show up.
Id love to see UK Rampage 92 & 93 as well and also The Wrestling Classic (Wrestlevision) & The Big Event on Tagged Classics
I’ve always hoped they would re-release the British Bulldogs and Davey Boy Smith titles together. That would be very cool, especially since wwe hasn’t released too much of the Bulldogs. Silvervision is British after all. Most of the DVDs on that list have been re-done better since. Hulk still rules would be nice though. I’d really like to see more like the Wrestlefest series etc, full of rarities. It would be nice to see the Ultimate Warrior releases without the nasty comments about him. And why on earth did they skip UK Rampage 92 & 93? Was it because of the picture interference on the sky broadcast? Would still be good to see it out there.
Tim, you can order these DVDs at Amazon.co.uk. They only play in multi-region DVD players and most computers.
are these dvds from silvervision easy to order or do you go through amazon alot easier to order and ship to america.
Silvervision.co.uk does not ship to the USA, only Europe.
After Silvervision’s release of Diesel and Razor Ramon, since they were never released on DVD before, I would like to see them release the Hulkamania and Best of the WWF series on DVD for the first time.
