Exclusive: FULL List of Extras for WWE’s (2 DISC) Survivor Series 2016 DVD, Bonus Items Next Year?

Bonus Items in 2017 WWE DVDs?

A new “Fan Council” survey was issued by the company this week asking WWE DVD collectors how frequently they’ve been making purchases over the past 2 years and gauging opinion on whether or not the advent of the WWE Network has adversely affected buying habits.

It appears that one way WWE might be considering to combat such a situation, and further differentiating physical titles from the Network, is to include more bonus items with them in 2017.

The survey asked respondents if they would be more likely to make future DVD/Blu-ray purchases if they also included some freebies inside – the likes of T-shirts, posters and key chains.

Thanks goes out to WDN reader “therko27” for sending word.

And speaking of freebies, we promised to give away free stuff to loyal WDN readers every week until Christmas… so let’s continue that right now!

We’ve got another batch of WWE’s “Ring in the Holiday” (USA) and “Christmas Collection” (UK) DVDs to give away completely FREE, no matter where you are located worldwide.

All you’ve got to do this time is go “Like” our Facebook page (if you haven’t already in the past) then “Like” (or “Love”) this photo before Monday and you’re in!

WrestlingDVDNetwork.com can now exclusively reveal the full content listing planned for the Survivor Series 2016 DVD, which we can confirm will feature 6 EXTRAS!

As we’ve noted, fans in the United States will get a 2 disc DVD this month for Survivor Series.

Early word is that fans in the UK will not get the same, instead a single-disc without extras, however their UK exclusive Blu-ray edition will include all of the DVD extras and a Blu-ray bonus.

  1. 18Broken says:

    Decent set of extras

  2. Anan says:

Wish SD 900’s Cutting Edge segment was included in the extras along with Bryan & Shane challenging Foley & Stephanie to SSeries, the response to the challenge, the segments where each team and its members were chosen, Goldberg’s RAW return & promo saying Lesnar’s next & last.

  3. Corey says:

I’m glad the Lesnar bs Goldberg WrestleMania XX match isn’t on the extras. Nobody wants to sit thru that borefest again.

  4. Mark Markson says:

Don’t care much about shirts or other free stuff with DVDs and blu-rays. I’m more interested in more content, especially unreleased stuff.

The best time for PPVs on blu-ray, was when they came with complete episodes of Raw and Smackdown.

  5. Shane Montgomery says:

Just noticed that January we will get Both a Raw and Smackdown PPV releases. Starting to think SD was WWE’s redheaded Stepson.

  6. Patrick R says:

I say screw the freebies. Give us more actual bonus content on the releases. Also please make every event & compilation set available in North America on Blu-ray. It’s getting to the point where I’m contemplation buying a region free player. Hardcore fans that still buy all of the releases aren’t going to stop buying because Blu-rays are slightly more. Perhaps make them Amazon exclusives. Also, release every event in North America (i.e. Beast in the East).

  7. VintageSimon says:

Sorry, but the DVD extras are just horrible.

  8. LP1 says:

Based on the listing, with disc 1 ending after the Kendrick-Kalisto match, that means disc 1 runs about 1 hour, 57 minutes. So instead of loading up disc 2 with a ton of extras, they cut an hour off of disc 1. They could’ve easily put the first 3 hours of the ppv on disc 1, the last 1/2 hour of the ppv and well over 2 hours of extras on disc 2.

    • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

The logic of not producing Blue worldwide becomes more and more vanishing.

    • Robin Persaud says:

The most galling thing about this – WWE has made kickoff shows available on their YouTube channel, in 720p HD. Why not just include the entire kickoff show on disc 2? They had the space…

  9. Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

Freebies: no thanks. Filling up the discs more with actual content: Yes! Yes! Yes!

I really do not see the point with the likes of glasses or clothes that problaly only fits 12 years old..besides its not gonna be actual free…since the price will likely go up, if they descide to stuff it with pointless things like that.

Im just finished watching the True Story of Royal Rumble (arrived wooping 3 days earlier 🙂 ), and I really wish that instead of considering freebies to their physical media concept, WWE should instead go back to produce more in-depth documentaries that they did so well, the likes of Austin, Foley, ECW and Heyman.

    • Robin Persaud says:

I would prefer to see the WWE release blu-ray discs here in North America. Also, they need their items posted to iTunes, Windows Store, Google Play Store, Vudu, Cinema Now, etc etc. They should be on EVERY digital platform – this would allow us to snag content in HD instead of (or in addition to) SD DVD.

How about a DVD+Digital HD combo, like most major movies these days? Or DVD+Blu (they did it for Elimination Chamber 2011, amd a Royal Rumble one year).

Come on WWE, we will spend the money to collect if you give us the opportunity! Shut up and TAKE MY MONEY! 🙂

      • Richard Wierzbowski says:

And they should be able to properly release all the RAW and Smackdown Live branded PPVs as a twin pack, starting with the September events and moving onwards. The freebies will only just increase the price of said product on whatever format it may be made available as those freebies only cater to kids.

      • Justin says:

Robin Persaud- Some events are on Google Play. This years Rumble, Summerslam, Mania & Clash of Champs are on there just to name a few.

        • Robin Persaud says:

          Justin,
Thanks for the tip, but none of the 2016 PPVs are available for me via the Play Store – I just checked. I am in Canada, and the content that does exist is in SD with zero extras.

          • Robin Persaud says:

Correction – some of the 2015 PPVs are available in HD. Will be picking up some of these.

            But – no 2016 PPVs.
