Unfortunately the day is upon us for the final WWE DVD to hit the United States domestic market.

The Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 PLE marks that final release; a single-disc DVD offering that would turn out to be an exclusive to fans in North America. Plus, in a unique turn of events it will be the returning CM Punk who is the final image shown on WWE Home Video.

Click here to grab the DVD from, where it is currently listed as a “#1 Best Seller” in Amazon’s sports category. Photos today with thanks to Alexander Dimovski.

The all-star team of Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair and Shotzi put their differences aside to battle the newly rejuvenated Damage CTRL (Asuka, Bayley, IYO SKY and Kairi Sane) inside the chaos and unpredictability of War Games.

WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley hopes to stay on top as she defends her title against Zoey Stark. For the first time ever, Gunther and The Miz meet in one-on-one competition for The Ring General’s Intercontinental Championship. Looking to avenge the savage attack of Rey Mysterio and Carlito, Dragon Lee challenges Santos Escobar.

“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and the returning Randy Orton join forces inside War Games to engage in combat against The Judgment Day (Damian Priest, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, Finn Bálor, JD McDonagh) and Drew McIntyre. Plus, more!

Let the War Games begin!

Due to the hard stop on new WWE DVD/Blu-ray titles after 2023, this means fans in the UK won’t receive Survivor Series 2023. For that market, the release of Survivor Series would always fall in the next calendar year, which for WWE Home Video sadly now does not exist.

If today’s update is the last we ever make on a new-release WWE DVD – well, it’s been a blast! Thank you everybody for supporting for so long, as in 2024 we enter our 14th year running the site.

Wished they would at least continue the big ones like Wrestlemania and Summerslam.

I have been thinking the same. There is not much effort to be put into that. As a German, it is very hard for me to accept, that there will be no Blu-ray of “Bash in Berlin” next summer. I am not totally against streaming, but the risk of content being removed or altered all of a sudden keeps me wanting to stick to my physical collection…

  3. BAS says:

Yep, when the announcement came about the first time, it was about to be no more worldwide except for the UK, only for there to be a turnaround for the US and Canadian markets at least, but that is correct that Australia was the only one affected the first time. I’ve even wondered too if the turn around here was done for the sake of extending the WB deal for as long as what was left of the Fremantle deal, and no more renewals once all deals were done. May sound dumb to suggest because it would then make someone wonder why wasn’t the Australian deal extended then by that logic, but I’m not sure what other theory to have.

Whoops, this was meant to be a response to Whut

    • DDT says:

BAS I think that makes sense thought it might be that Australia distributor did nt want to carry the dvds anymore. Where as Freemantle and warner bros appear to have wanted to do so. so it very different

Unlike vinyl records — WWE on DVD seems as over as the 8-track tape.

Did anyone else not have the sticker?

  7. BAS says:

How the tables have turned. For years, if anyone in the US wanted a complete collection of the yearly PPVs, they had to import from the UK, such as Elimination Chamber 2015, Crown Jewel 2019, and Payback 2020. Now those in the UK have to import Survivor Series from the States if they want it that much. It does suck though that they wouldn’t at least let you guys have one last release though, for the sake of completing your 2023 PPV set, and especially since I know getting the big 4 on Blu-ray every year has been traditional.

And it’s not like those of us (collectors) from Europe didn’t understand people from the US or Canada (or basically anywhere else beside Europe. The Australian distributor already stopped some time ago, right?) being upset about it. Like, we totally got it.

(I might still get it despite it being incredibly expensive. Just for the sake of having the 2023 year in its entirety)
