TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2016, for those who’ve missed our WWE DVD Release Dates page and are still asking, will be making it to next year’s Home Video schedule.
This will mark the first time we’ve seen a SmackDown-exclusive PPV released on DVD since the brand split – an official statement in September confirmed there were no plans to put out neither Backlash nor No Mercy. However, TLC, as a mainstay PPV of the calendar year, was already scheduled for a DVD release as per usual, so this event will fit into the existing slot.
The TLC 2016 DVD will hit US stores first on January 3rd, following to fans in the United Kingdom on February 6th (with an exclusive Blu-ray edition), and finally to Australia on February 8th.
UK FANS: Take 15% off the price of the DVD/Blu-ray at WWEDVD.co.uk with code “TLC16”.
Expect to see the official cover artwork and any extras revealed soon!
“The True Story of Royal Rumble” can now officially be told! The 3 disc DVD and 2 disc Blu-ray set just hit stores in the United Kingdom and will be following tomorrow in the United States.
With the UK release today, a third edition of the title came to light – ASDA stores have a single-disc, documentary-only version of “The True Story of Royal Rumble” DVD. It’s presumed to have a runtime of approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes; the length of the main feature.
Comparatively, if you go Blu-ray, you’ll get nearly 8 hours and 30 minutes of content (all of this) made up of that documentary, a selection of “deleted” scenes from it, multiple full-length Royal Rumble matches, non-PPV Royal Rumble matches, and more bonuses!
Grab your WWE “The True Story of ROYAL RUMBLE” DVD or Blu-ray…

– USA: TOMORROW! Get the Rumble DVD or Blu-ray now here on Amazon.com.
– Australia: January 11th. Pre-order your copy of the DVD over at Madman.com.au.
The double-disc Survivor Series 2016 DVD hitting US stores on December 20th will include some of the extras revealed last week on one of the discs, and the remaining on the other.
Disc 1 will have length of approximately 2 hours and 12 minutes, and Disc 2 approximately 1 hour and 48 minutes, taking the complete runtime of this year’s Survivor Series DVD up to 4 hours.
That’s about 40 minutes of extras on top of the PPV event itself, for those keeping count!
Fans in Australia will be getting the 2 disc edition too (as confirmed by the cover artwork below), while UK fans will receive all of the extras on their exclusive Blu-ray edition.
GOOD NEWS, BAD NEWS: Production of WWE Blu-ray discs in Australia may have lessened in recent months, but this new Blu-ray sale you’re getting might make up for it a little…

Thanks goes out to WDN reader “cantyufc” for sending word.

Triple H vs Duke “The Dumpster” Droese from the Free for All of the 1996 Royal Rumble as a Blu-Ray exclusive is a big joke! But the Smackdown and Raw Royal Rumble from 2004 et 2011 is a very good Blu-Ray exclusive!
Amazon for some reason has the TLC PPV merged together with the TLC video featuring the Dudleys/E&C/Hardys from almost 15 years ago. They did the same with HITC from this year mixed with last years. Who’s running things over there?
Hey I was able to get the Rumble set early. I did a review of both the DVD and Blu-Ray editions on my YouTube channel Matthew Tremble
K.
Slight shiht into the positive, regarding Benoit-references: commentary for once got it right, when saying that yesterday was the 19th TLC match..acknowledging the existence of the TLC 3 match from Smackdown 2001.
And on the True Story of Royal Rumble Bluray, the 2007 Rumble match, not much commentary is muted..actually, it is mentioned that Benoit won from number 1 spot and his actions, most of it at least, are commented.
*shift*
Is all of benoits commentary intact??
As far as I can see and hear, everything is intact, comparing the original DVD, the Anthology version and the True History of Royal Rumble bluray version of the 2007 match.
Benoits entrance music, his run down to the ring and the comments about him winning the 2004 match, going on to win the WHC at XX + JBL’s wrong statistic about Benoit being the 3rd man to win the Royal Rumble as number 1 entrance.
I hope eventually they put backlash and no mercy on DVD. feels weird not having any smackdown stuff in the collection post summerslam.
I agree with you that a collection would seem incomplete but you could always burn a copy of the show onto DVD. I feel the same about the Network specials from last year (MSG, Japan & Roadblock in Toronto).
Me too have that kind feeling as well. Without the backlash and No Mercy 2016 looks weird when you look back at your collection after a few years later.
