Home Video and other merchandise partners have reportedly been issued a memo from WWE in recent weeks stating that the new logo will come into effect on August 18th, 2014.
The current “scratch logo” is said to be phased out from then on, with the new “Network logo” used for all branding and consumer products moving forward. The August 18th date is noteworthy because it is one day after the SummerSlam 2014 pay-per-view event.
We would consider this date and the new logo changeover itself to be subject to change and unconfirmed until an official announcement is made publicly by WWE.

It’s gonna suck when that logo is used on T-Shirts.
What are they going to do about the relatively new WWE Championship belt that features the scratch logo in quite a big way? Lol.
I joined the fan council and I never got this survey.
Same here but it’s obvious now that not everyone gets every survey, so must be a sample size or sent to people from certain locations or with specific interests, etc. Who knows.
Most definitely in for Best of Nitro V3 and the US Title ones and a few of the roasts.
Rick Rude should be really good. There is the territorial era, WWE, WCW, and his return as a manager, plus of course good promos.
That documentary about Harley Race seems really good. I’ve been saying for years that WWE should produce a 3 disc DVD set about Harley’s life and career before it’s too late, so much to learn from the greatest of all-time.
They really need to release a Best of Saturday Night’s Main Event Volume 2 DVD… I have been waiting since 2009 for another release… 80s and early 90s footage are getting stored in the vault and need to be released to the public. I don’t know what they’re waiting for.
I’ve always been partial to the 80’s WWF block logo when it comes to my favorites. That’s the one I grew up on. With that said, I really like the new logo better than the current one. It looks more sleak. The current logo is just a bastardized version of the Attitude Era logo and I’ve never liked it. I’m definitely on board with this change.
Why does WWE never have an “E” in it’s logo? It dosen’t make sense. It’s the equivalent of the NFL logo just being “NF”.
If you turn the logo sideways, you have your E right there. I always wonder why nobody ever notices this detail, even with their current logo.
The logo is famous enough for people to know that it’s for WWE.
That’s just the way the logo has been.
We’ll probably see WCW Nitro vol.3 sometime maybe early next year, hopefully.
No way. It should be late this year. We’ve already been waiting what seems like an eternity for no good reason. It should be a year and a half at most between releases. The last one sold very well.
The new logo is really starting to grow on me, glad they will use it permanently.
The scratch logo is out of date now. Including when they had the “F” it was used for over 15 years. Companies, especially public rebrand and change their logo after a certain time. I think it was long overdue.
Holy crap. Just ordered the Harley Race DVD. Can’t wait.
Actually Steve…the NFL just changed its main logo a few yeara ago…along with its Super Bowl logos and Conference title logos and conference logos and so on lol
We need Best of Nitro Volume 3 and The Attitude Era Volume 2
Changing the Logo that has been the same for so long is just dumb WWE. They always want to be treated like legit entertainment and not treated like a side show, but you don’t see MLB, NBA, or the NFL changing the logo just to change it.
it shows what turmoil the company is in currently.
Turmoil? LMAO.
I really like the new WWE logo. Looking forward to seeing it on DVD and Blu-ray packaging too. Best of WCW Nitro volume 3 has to happen. I didn’t really follow WCW that well because I was/am a WWE guy, but I’ve had the chance to really appreciate the WCW product with all these DVD releases the past few years. I think a Best of WCW Thunder DVD should happen as well. Even a WCW Unreleased set with matches from Saturday Night and Pro would be awesome.
Match compilations: Rick Rude… Yes, please.
