Yesterday we revealed a John Cena Greatest Rivalries WWE DVD and Blu-ray set in the works for October.
In addition to the matches and a new interview with John Cena, we’re also hearing that it will feature some behind-the-scenes footage of Cena’s involvement with the WWE2K15 video game which is also to be released in October. He features on the cover and in trailer spots.
This new John Cena DVD was one of 16 titles revealed on a WWE survey late last year, the vast majority of which have gone on to be released or are currently scheduled to be. Those include the likes of RAW: After The Show, Ultimate Warrior, Greatest Wrestling Factions, Paul Heyman, OMG! Part 2, Sting and more. It also listed Bruno Sammartino and Top Giants in Wrestling History as DVD ideas which reportedly could be on the way too.
The remaining titles which could end up official (some more likely than others) are:
– The Attitude Era Vol. 2
– WWE Around the World (unreleased international matches)
– Best PPV Matches 2014
– WrestleMania Main Events
– Best of World Class Championship Wrestling
– Nexus: Where Are They Now?
Despite Amazon Canada having the “Brothers of Destruction” DVD listed for September 2nd, new information we’ve received states that the release date to the United States will in fact be October 7th. The US and Canada typically have the same or very similar release times.
The DVD could end up as a store exclusive for a month but that appears to be unlikely.
Paul Heyman’s website Heyman Hustle posted up the clip below, titled “The Controversial Paul Heyman Video WWE Didn’t Want You To See”. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the cover photo shoot for the “Ladies and Gentleman, My Name is Paul Heyman” DVD and Blu-ray.
Click here to pre-order the new Heyman DVD for August 5th.
The WWE Payback 2014 DVD is now available in the United States and Australia. Next up is the release to the UK and Europe in August, with a Blu-ray version also planned.
If you pre-order your DVD or Blu-ray copy here on WWEDVD.co.uk before Sunday, 17th August then you’ll enter yourself to win 1 of 5 DVD covers signed by Triple H!

Another WCCW (World Class) DVD (& Blu-Ray too please) are long overdue! It’s one of the most impressive video libraries they own, with production values and hard-hitting matches that were light years ahead of the competition, and that still hold up well today. Let’s get some classic David Von Erich singles match in the next go-around and I’ll second the nomination for the Flair/Kerry NWA Title change from Texas Stadium finally making it to DVD/Blu-ray as well.
It was confirmed on the website WrestleView on July 3, 2014 that WWE is going to be starting work next week on a Jerry “The King” Lawler DVD set by interviewing Lawler and probably many other wrestling personalities for the documentary portion of the DVD set. So, I guess that this means that WWE now owns the rights to the old Memphis Wrestling footage. I wish that none of Lawler’s WWE matches would get on this upcoming WWE DVD set. His in ring career in WWE has been awful and an embarrassment. Lawler was awesome in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
unreleased international matches!!!!!
i would wait in line for that. esp if they have american commentary for all the matches (maybe get cole to do some commentary dubs)
i hope they get a memphis doc soon while they have lawler, dutch, jimmy hart for doc imterview
Attitude Era Vol 2 and Best Of World Class are a must.
Hopefully they’ll include the match where Kerry Von Erich
defeated Ric Flair in Texas Stadium infront of 43,000 to
win The NWA World Heavyweight Championship that he
dedicated in memory of his brother David and hopefully
they’ll include the original Tower Of Doom match which
The NWA copied at The 1988 Great American Bash, I’d
rather see the original.
I rather see a volume 2 of Saturday Nights Main Event & Clash of the Champions.
For an update on The Nexus we go to Ollie Williams, Ollie:
JOBBERS!!!!!
Thanks Ollie
Just like Falls Count Anyway set has it flaws, so does The Attitude Era set…which justifies it even stronger that a vol. 2 of both releases are important…cos there are so much more to be covered, and to improve means to produce a follow up to both those important projects.
What about the Macho Man documentary? Heard they are working on it, wonder if that’s for this year or next year?
Believe that set for Savage is early next year. The is just a guess list for the remainder of this one.
Please god do not make Attitude Era vol 2.
That first one was just plain awful.
That was the first & only WWE DVD set I ever bought that I actually just threw in the garbage.
I am being 100% honest when I say that (It was worth the $20 I wasted on buying it to have the pleasure of trashing it).
Selling that awful DVD set would have never gave me the same satisfaction as throwing that atrocious Attitude Era DVD set in the garbage.
The attitude Era was the beginning of the end of the WWF!
The WWE has been complete crap ever since.
They turned Stunning Steve Austin into a complete Ferry pretending way too hard to be macho, flipping people off & drinking beer.
The whole gay biker look w/that vest he would wear was just disturbing.
So embarrassing to watch.
Steve Austin used to be so cool in WCW (especially w/Brian Pillman)!
Having a feud w/Vince McMahon is just silly & pathetic.
Never in a million years as a kid did I ever think, watching Vince doing commentary in bright blue suits…”Man, I wish he would get more involved in the story lines”
I go out of my way to avoid the crappy ass Attitude Era & I still have so many $hitty Attitude Era stuff on DVD.
PLEASE WWE, STOP W/THE ATTITUDE ERA…IT SUCKED THEN & IT STILL SUCKS NOW!!!
Wrestling used to be really fun to watch until the stupid Attitude Era.
Perhaps the WWE wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the Attitude Era. Suck it up
So you hated the attitude era, arguably the most popular era in WWE history, yet you bought the DVD anyway? Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
I bought the DVD cause I wasn’t familiar w/the era & I thought it would endure it to me.
I stopped watching wrestling in the mid 1990’s until the WWE kept coming out w/DVD’s from bygone Eras in the 2000’s.
I bought the NWO DVD set not knowing what to expect & I was blown away by how cool it was.
So I bought the Attitude Era DVD set expecting the same thing, instead I was extremely disappointed.
The WrestleMania Main Events will be good, just to get some Un-previously released matches on Blu-Ray for the first time.
The Attitude Era Volume 2 is a definite must. Hopefully we also get The Best Of Nitro Volume 3 eventually
World Class and International sound good. Attitude era might be good. I own at least half of all WrestleMania main events. The Nexus didn’t even have enough good matches when they were together to fill a DVD.
“WWE Around the World (unreleased international matches)” Please release this! Cross-promotion matches are absolutely my favorite aspect of professional wrestling. No doubt about it. I’d love to see some of the stuff like HBK refereeing in FMW along with the WWF guys in SWS in the mid 90s. Lots of dream matches took place along with tons of wrestler’s runs in Japan in general. Matches like Muta/Hogan and Tenryu/Flair were classics. I love when WWE used to include Japan footage on their sets like on Benoit’s.
Enough with the Attitude Era garbage! For the love of God, please!
never can get enough of Wrestling’s undoubtly most famous, infamous, popular and unpredictable Era.
YES! I admit it: I am an Attitude Junkie! 😉
and with that said, the change completed.. 🙂
better I hope.. not using up more space now.. lol
Attitude Eral vol. 2 needs to happen.. also; a second volume of Falls count anyway would be great, as well as a third compilation of ECW unreleased.
Nexus: Where Are They Now? – quite worthless since most of them are now jobbers or released.
So would WM Main Events, if you own all the Wrestlemanias.
